Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Four and a Half Games LLC ("we", "us") covering your use of the Neighbors mobile game and the playneighbors.com website (together, the "Service"). By downloading or playing Neighbors, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can play

Anyone can play Neighbors. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf. Players under 13 automatically play in a restricted mode with additional protections, described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Your license to play

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own entertainment. The Service, including all art, code, characters, items, and content, belongs to Four and a Half Games or its licensors. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of the Service except as allowed by law.

3. Your account

Accounts are created anonymously and may optionally be linked to Apple, Google, or an email address to save progress. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Virtual items and currency

• Cash, gold, items, and other in-game content ("Virtual Items") are licensed to you, not sold. They have no real-world value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred outside the Game.
• Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Except where required by law, purchases of Virtual Items are final and non-refundable.
• We may change, rebalance, or discontinue Virtual Items as part of operating the Game.

5. Your content and conduct

You keep ownership of content you create in the Game (such as room designs, names, and messages), and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and share it within the Service (for example, showing your room in a design challenge). When you play Neighbors you agree to:

• Be respectful — no harassment, hate speech, threats, or sexual content;
• Not share personal information (yours or anyone else's) in names, chat, or comments;
• Not cheat, exploit bugs, use unauthorized automation, or interfere with the Service;
• Not impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

Names, chat, and comments are subject to automated and manual moderation. We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules, with or without notice.

6. Service changes and availability

Neighbors is an online service. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. We are not liable for downtime, data loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, or changes to game balance or content.

7. Termination

You can stop playing and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or harm the Service or other players. Sections 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, and 10 survive termination.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Four and a Half Games will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to first contact us at [email protected] to try to resolve any dispute informally before filing a claim.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the Game. Continuing to play after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
